Marble sculpture was one of Michelangelo’s most popular arts. This great artist was born in 1475 in Florence, which is in Italy. He died in Rome in 1954. His father’s name is Lorenzo. In their early lives, Michelangelo started work as a woodcarver and found out that he was good at religious paintings.

He met one of the greatest artists of all time, Leonardo da Vinci, and they became friends. They started working on the Mona Lisa. They also worked together on the Sistine Chapel ceiling and David. Michelangelo was so impressed by the Mona Lisa that he decided to make a painting of her like that instantly.
